This illustration project is created as a visual promotion of Makassar City, highlighting its cultural identity and local heritage through contemporary graphic design. The artwork is applied across various promotional media, including posters, keychains, tumblers, stickers, tote bags, and T-shirts, allowing the visual concept to be consistently experienced in both digital and physical forms. The illustrations feature iconic elements of Makassar and South Sulawesi, such as Sop Konro as a representation of local culinary heritage, the Sulawesi Island to emphasize regional identity, the badik as a traditional weapon symbolizing bravery and history, and traditional attire that reflects the richness of local culture. These elements are stylized with a modern illustration approach to make them visually engaging and accessible to a wide audience. Through the combination of cultural symbols and functional merchandise, this illustration project aims to strengthen the city’s branding, increase cultural awareness, and present Makassar as a city with strong traditions, distinctive identity, and contemporary creative potential
